Fab Lab Roxbury

A digital fabrication workshop containing tools such as a laser cutter and 3D printer, Fab Lab Roxbury is a place where anyone can make [almost] anything to change their world.

The new community facility in the Impact Studio at the Roxbury Innovation Center is part of the international Fab Lab network of about 1,000 Fab Labs, all of which aligned with Fab Lab Roxbury’s mission to foster innovation in order to help create new community startups and bring existing businesses to the next industrial revolution.

The Fab Lab will also spur STEM [Science – Technology – Engineering – Math] education in collaboration with both K-12 schools and higher education institutions. In addition, the Bolling Building location will provide non-traditional, hands-on, experiential STEM education and workforce development training on site.

The Roland SRM-20 MonoFab is a Roland Newest Desktop Subtractive Rapid Prototyping (SRP) system capable of 3D milling, 2D Milling, and Engraving. The SRM-20 is ideal for a variety of product designs tasks, including model making, rapid prototyping, and small lot production.
