a digital fabrication laboratory containing tools such as a laser cutter and 3D printer which enables anyone to make [almost] anything to change their world located in the heart of Boston, known as Roxbury.
Hour of Programming
Fab Lab Roxbury of the Roxbury Innovation Center (RIC) is part of the international Fab Lab network of about 1,000 Fab Labs, all of which are aligned with our mission;
Foster innovation in order to help create new ideas, community startups as well as bring existing businesses into the next Industrial Revolution…the Maker Revolution.
The Fab Lab Roxbury nurtures STEM education in collaboration with local non-profits and community organizations, K-12 schools, as well as higher education institutions. Our location in the Bruce C. Bolling Building allows our space to provide non-traditional, hands-on education and 21st Century skill development training on site.
As a student, I’ve enjoyed assisting in classes revolving around electrical engineering and robotics. I’ve been interested in STEAM for most of my life and I love sharing that interest.Jalen Latimer (BPS '17)

- Develop sketching and 2D Design skills during a five-week course open to adults ages 17 and up at the Roxbury Innovation Center (RIC). This course will focus on how to sketch your ideas using Autodesk Sketchbook software, in order to communicate your project ideas to a wide audience
