Availability + Booking
What is Roxbury Innovation Center? What does my event support?
A nonprofit civic innovation center, Roxbury Innovation Center is operated by Innovation Studio. Rental of our spaces directly helps to support our mission of fostering a strong, connected innovation community through expanding access to resources, public programming, and networks. We believe innovation is for everyone and are here to help anyone with an idea succeed.
What type of Events doES RIC typically book?
We have hosted board meetings, trainings, team retreats, networking events, and more! Our space is all about innovation — let us know what you’re thinking and we’ll work with you to make it happen!
How can I check availability for a particular date?
Submit an event request form (book now) and someone from the Innovatio Studio team will get back to you within three business days with availability and a proposal based on current rates.
How Does The Reservation Process work?
In order to place a soft hold on the space, please submit an event request form online. Our staff will typically get back to you within three business day with a quote. We kindly ask event requests to be submitted at least two weeks before the event date. Unless your eSpaces are not confirmed until we have received a signed contract and full payment. Rentals are on a first come, first serve basis.

What Is Included With The Room Rental?
- Free WiFi
- Access to onsite staff support, 30 minutes prior to your event start and if you have specific questions or issues during your reservation
- Our in-house AV: projector with HDMI and VGA inputs, Bose speakers, and reservable microphones
- IdeaPaint walls + dry erase markers (you can write directly on our walls!)
- Furniture: up to 60 chairs, 8 classroom tables, and a podium
- Clients can arrive 30 minutes prior to their start time. If you need longer than 30 minutes please request to add an extra hour for your rental.
If you have additional A/V needs, you can consult our recommended vendors list.
We do not provide circle tables or more than the 8 we have. If you need other styles or additional tables for your event, please plan accordingly to rent them.
What Are the a/V Capabilities of Your Space?
All projectors can be connected via HDMI or VGA inputs. Please bring your own laptop + adaptors (if required). If you have additional A/V needs, such as recording, lavalier mics, uplighting, etc., please bring your own or connect with one of our recommended A/V vendors.
Is Your Space Accessible?
The Roxbury Innovation Center is located within the Bruce C. Bolling Municipal Building, fully accessible building with easy access to Boston’s MBTA.
I am interested in Booking a multi-Day event. Can I leave the Room as-is overnight?
Yes, if the space is available you are able to leave items in the space overnight for an additional fee.
DO you have Caterer, A/V, Entertainment, and Hotel Recommendations?
Yes! Please consult our recommended vendor list which includes a list of caterers, A/V and entertainment companies, and local hotels which our clients have used before and have had great experiences with! You are welcome to use someone not on our list (and if you love them let us know so we can add them!). If you are interested in ordering catering from a group not on this list, please provide your event manager with proof of insurance from whichever restaurant you choose to order from.
Is There Parking or Public Transport Nearby?
For events under 2 hours, there is free street parking at the municipal lots at 44 Warren Street and 30 Ruggles Street. Washington Street also has free 2-hour street parking. The 2-hour limit is in effect until 6PM Monday – Saturday.
For events longer than 2-hours, we recommend utilizing public transport or ride-sharing apps. The Bolling Building is adjacent to the Nubian Square MBTA Station with bus and Silver Line connections to Downtown, South Station, Kenmore, Cambridge, and Dorchester. RIC is also about a 15-minute walk to the Orange Line.
There is also a parking garage at 63 Northampton Street which is about a 13-minute walk away.
